How is a painting job prepared?
Good paint work depends on prep. Furniture is moved or covered, floors are protected, nail holes and small dents are patched and sanded, and edges are taped before any paint goes on. After painting, we clean up and leave the room ready to use.
- Walkthrough and quote. We look at the rooms, colors and surfaces.
- Protect. Floors, fixtures and furniture are covered.
- Repair and prep. Patch holes, sand and clean the walls.
- Paint. Cut in edges and roll even coats.
- Clean up. Remove tape and covers and clean the space.

What paint finish should I use in each room?
Flat or matte paint works best on ceilings, eggshell or satin is the usual choice for living areas and bedrooms, and semi-gloss holds up best on trim, doors, kitchens and bathrooms because it is easier to wipe clean. Rentals often use satin or semi-gloss so walls can be cleaned between tenants.

How long does it take to repaint a room or a rental?
It depends on the size of the space, how many colors are used, and how much patching the walls need. We give you a timeline with the quote, and for rental turnovers we schedule painting so the cleaning can be done right after, on the same trip when possible.
